How It Works

First, a conversation. Tell us who's traveling, when, and what this trip is for: the occasion, the pace you want, the thing you'd be sorry to miss. That last part matters most; it is where the whole trip begins.

Then, the work. Doug builds your trip against Wonderlust Express's own city research: verified, current, and opinionated where the opinion can be defended. Hotel recommendations come first, for your approval before anything is booked. You see a complete plan, not a list of links.

Then, the kit. Your Dossier and Travel Companion arrive together, in one send, before you fly. We call the week before you leave, and once you're moving we're reachable any hour.

What the fee is. A flat planning fee, quoted after the first conversation, once we know the shape of the trip. Half at signing, the balance when the finished dossier is delivered. A full bespoke dossier typically arrives within ten to fourteen business days. Hotels, restaurants, and travel costs are always yours, billed directly by the providers.

What the work includes. The research and the writing: a day-by-day itinerary built for the people traveling and no one else, checked against current sources, with the reasons on the page. The kit that carries it: your Dossier, your Travel Companion, and two cards made for your phones. And the part that doesn't fit in a document: a call the week before you leave, and someone reachable any hour once you're moving.

Why a flat fee. Because the alternative is your own evening hours: the eleven-at-night, forty-tabs version of planning. A quoted fee, agreed before the work starts, means the work answers to one person: the one taking the trip.
