Modern Slavery Statement

Wonderlust Express is not required by law to publish a statement on modern slavery. We publish this one because the travel we plan depends on the people who work in hotels, on trains and in restaurants, and we want our position to be clear.

Our business

We plan and book travel. We employ no one in the countries our guests visit; the services our guests use are provided by hotels, railways, airlines, restaurants, guides and transport companies, booked directly or through Fora Travel, our host agency.

Our position

We do not tolerate slavery, forced or bonded labor, child labor or human trafficking in any form, and we will not knowingly work with any provider that uses them.

How we choose providers

We recommend established providers, most of them known to us or to Fora Travel, and we pay attention to how they treat the people who work for them. As a small house we cannot audit our providers' operations ourselves, so we rely on their reputations, on the standards of the organizations we work with, and on what we and our guests see on the ground.

If we have concerns

If we learn of credible evidence that a provider is involved in modern slavery or human trafficking, we will stop recommending it and report what we know to the appropriate authorities. Guests who see anything that concerns them during a trip are invited to tell us in confidence at doug@wonderlustexpress.com.

Review

We review this statement each year and whenever our business changes.
